Job Description

Civil Surveyors Inc. (CSI) is currently seeking responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our firm as a Survey Team Leader. Applicant must be able to work with others on the team, as a member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, hydrographic, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing

the latest equipment and surveying technology. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required of a surveyor. Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.

  • Ensure safekeeping of equipment.
  • Ensure that their assigned vehicle and survey equipment are safe and kept in an orderly fashion ready for duty. Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of Survey experience
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Minimum).
  • Must have good Mathematical skills.
  • Must have computer skills.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus.
  • Must be physically able to work outdoors in all terrains including along highways, wooded environments, on small boats on lakes, rivers, and bays, and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrain.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes, in addition the ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods.

Qualifications

  • Must be reliable, trustworthy and posses’ ability to work well with coworkers and clients
  • 5 years of total survey experience minimum
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Must have computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Survey Team Leader directs and manages all aspects of their assigned survey field services and manages the daily team’s workload including paperwork for timesheets and billing
  • Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations
  • Coordinates field activities with office staff daily to ensure scope and schedules are being adhered to
  • Ensure that vehicles and surveying equipment are maintained and kept in an orderly fashion​
